Canadians are ‘woke’. Finally.

About time. Canadians were sleeping but now we’re woke.

That was exactly the outcome that the traditional political parties and their complicit sycophants in the main stream media were trying to thwart – at least until after the October 2019 election.

How do I personally know that Canadians are ‘woke’?

Through the very digital media choices that are destroying both the relevance and the influence of the ‘bought and paid for’ traditional media outlets, specifically those sources now ‘feeding at the trough’ Five Hundred Ninety Five Million Dollars deep ($595,000,000) as provided by a grateful, corrupt Justin Trudeau and his Liberal Party of Canada minions.

Here are a couple of examples that clearly indicate that the ‘genie is out of the bottle’. The presence of Maxime Bernier on the national stage can no longer be hidden and kept secret by colluding politicians and media.

The Power of One.

I have a personal Twitter account with a modest 600 followers.

Yesterday, I sent a tweet, one of many that day, that offered a fundamental observation – a statement that indisputably and absolutely resonated with a ‘statistically significant’ number of Canadians who are active on Twitter.

This was the observation. “Today David Johnston either confirms Canada is decaying into a banana republic or shows integrity by championing free speech, allowing Maxime Bernier, the emerging force in Canadian politics, to debate. Without Bernier, the debates are a farce“.

I took a snapshot of the analysis of that tweet one day later.

Twitter analytics for Tweet sent September 16, 2019 BEFORE David Johnston’s issued invitation to Maxime Bernier, Leader of the People’s Party of Canada, was widely publicized or distributed.

Reminder. I have a modest 600 Twitter followers.

This tweet has been viewed over Thirty One Thousand Five Hundred (31,500) times in a one day span. In other words, my 600 Twitter followers viewed that message, re-sent it or ‘liked’ it and the ripple effect reached out to a staggering number of Canadians. Almost 32,000 at last count.

What does that really mean?

It means that the message resonated with Canadians. It means that the content of that message matters to Canadians. It means that Canadians respect and believe in the importance of ‘Freedom of Speech‘ and ‘Freedom of Expression‘.

The Aftermath. Shortly after I posted this tweet, David Johnston indeed did the right thing. Mr. Johnston made the ethical decision to invite Maxime Bernier to participate in an all leader debate – so that Canadians have a legitimate opportunity to hear all legitimate national leaders debate each other to ‘earn the right’ to govern after the 2019 election.

But why were these histrionics necessary?

Simply, because the sitting Prime Minister of Canada has become corrupted. This appointment of a Debates Commission with a Debates Commissioner to frustrate the opportunity of a newly emerging political force to enter on to a level playing field was a corrupt act imposed on Canadians by a corrupt government. Those who follow this blog, as well as numerous others, have become aware of the SNC Lavalin scandal, the Mark Norman scandal, the Ethics Commissioner scandals, among others. Today, the Commissioner of the RCMP confirmed that the SNC Lavalin scandal is still under active investigation.

The sitting Prime Minister has attempted to throttle Free Speech and Freedom of Expression by suggesting his Liberal government will introduce a ‘digital charter‘ that will impose ‘meaningful financial consequences‘ on tech companies who don’t reign in misinformation on their platforms.

TRANSLATION: Censorship.

Surely the Main Stream Media will exercise its Fourth Estate rights and hold the government to account. A fading fantasy.

Perhaps that might have been true in the distant past. In the past few decades, the MSM has become as corrupt as the government, acting as virtual sycophants, praising the government for undeserved initiatives, deliberately and unethically hiding the indiscretions and flat-out lies of the governing Liberals and complicitly accepting Five Hundred Ninety Five Million Dollars ($595 Million) in virtual bribes to ensure their acquiescence and partisan support.

It is up to us, as Canadians, to champion the rights that the Liberal government and their complicit propagandists in the MSM have attempted to extinguish through disinformation and misinformation.

This is the most compelling reason that the freedom of digital media must be ferociously protected and enshrined. NEVER should a government be allowed to silence the voice of the people, the vox populi.

In spite of the best efforts of the traditional political parties and the complicit, compromised Main Stream Media, the fledgling People’s Party of Canada and its leader, Maxime Bernier, will be granted its fundamental right – the right of Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Expression. The right to reach out to Canadians and ask for the privilege of earning their votes.

We must thank David Johnston for making what was probably a very difficult decision to advance the ethical inviolate standards of democracy. In spite of the efforts of the government, the other complicit political parties, the Main Stream Media and even the pollsters, themselves compromised as they accept payments from partisan political actors to ultimately provide partisan political polling results. Skewed polling results wherein the People’s Party of Canada was not even advanced as a voting choice in the vast majority of polls used by David Johnston to assist in his decision.

My one tweet reached almost 32,000 ‘woke’ Canadians who are on Twitter. Daily, I read and re-post, if warranted, dozens of other tweets from other individuals who are committed to the well-being and the integrity of the government. Individuals who understand that “The price of freedom is eternal vigilance”.

Canadians must always, without exception, hold the government to account – not just during the writ period leading up to an election. We must, individually and collectively, stand up against injustice and corruption.

We must share our values and champion them, just as we must share our concerns and displeasure in the face of obvious government over-reach and corruption.

My one tweet reached out to 32,000 Canadians and ‘woke’ them. Thousands of other Canadians are doing something similar – daily.

We now have the resources in our digital world to truly make a difference – if we have the political will.

No one can take away our inalienable right to determine our own fate – except ourselves, individually and together. We again have power. We must use it wisely – and in the best interests of all Canadians, now and in the future.

Thank you for reading and sharing.

40 days & 40 nights to save Canada? (the Complications)

“the fountains of the Great Deep burst apart and the floodgates of heaven broke open” and rain fell for forty days and forty nights until the highest mountains were covered 15 cubits, and all earth-based life perished …”

Numerous cultures speak of the great flood that wiped out all that had become evil and corrupt, so that life could begin anew. Judaic Christian Bible references 40 days and 40 nights – which happens to be the exact time frame chosen for the upcoming Canadian federal election.

The question.

Is the plight of Canada so dire that it will require a metaphorical ‘flood’ of votes to obliterate the corruption and the cronyism that has infected Parliament and the Canadian government?

The short answer is Yes.

The longer answer is Yes.

Caveat: Until yesterday, I served in a capacity wherein my musings, observations and opinions could justifiably seen as partisan based, since I was Regional Co-ordinator for the People’s Party of Canada in BC until my resignation from that position yesterday.

Today, I am mostly freed of that ‘stigma’ and am able to opine and reflect without the underlying perceived responsibility of representing ‘party over principle’.

I resigned on ‘principle’ and yet principle is the ultimate reason I supported, and continue to support, Maxime Bernier and his fledgling People’s Party of Canada. From the very day that Max Bernier announced he was leaving the Conservative Party of Canada based on his own principles, I chose to follow Max’s strong ‘principled’ decision, sending in my own resignation to the CPC that very same day. The very first post on this website is my extensive letter of resignation addressed to Andrew Scheer – and the reasons offered for that resignation more than one year ago are disturbingly even more valid today.

Has Maxime Berner created the ‘perfect panacea’ for political malaise and corruption via his singular creation, the People’s Party of Canada?

Of course not, but that is because all political parties are necessarily made up of people, and there is no force on earth more capable of screwing things up than an aggregation of people.

A camel is a horse designed by a committee. This term demonstrates the flaws inherent in a project that has many designers involved but no unifying plan or vision. (Wikipedia, Design by Committee)

This term, Design by Committee, is quite probably the biggest single factor in the ‘needless complexity, inconsistency, logical flaws, and yes, lack of unifying vision‘ (again attributed to Wikipedia) evident to astute Canadians when we individually and collectively assess the ridiculously inconsistent, virtue signalling, vote buying pandering of virtually all established political parties, but specifically the Liberals, Conservatives, NDP and Greens.

What is diametrically opposite to this dogma?

This democratic design process is in contrast to autocratic design, where the project leader decides on the design.

The difference is, that in an autocratic style, members of the organizations are not included and the final outcome is the responsibility of the leader. (Wikipedia on Design by Committee)

Going into the 2019 Canadian Federal Election, this autocratic design is literally the unassailable, irrefutable position of the People’s Party of Canada going into this 40 day purge and potential renewal process in our Canadian democracy.

I make these assertions as one who actually, at the moment, prefers Maxime Bernier’s unquestionable autocratic design of the People’s Party of Canada to the dysfunctional chaos and inconsistency of the remainder of the political parties contesting for the right to govern in the imminent 2019 federal election.

Facts:

At this moment, the People’s Party of Canada is an autocracy.

At this moment, the People’s Party of Canada does not have a constitution (or by-laws) created by, and supported by, a majority of the party’s members.

At this moment, there is a ‘dearth of due process’ that has allowed any number of errors in execution and judgement to be ignored, at the discretion of a virtual cabal of unelected organizers and administrators who are accountable to no one but themselves and ultimately their leader, Maxime Bernier.

At this moment, highly qualified candidates who have been attracted to the PPC are running highly credible campaigns in highly winnable ridings throughout Canada.

At this moment, incredibly unqualified candidates who have been attracted to the PPC are running highly dis-credible campaigns in ridings where their chances of winning are justifiably nil, or next to it.

With all of those factors in play, why am I still of the firm belief that Maxime Bernier, and his People’s Party of Canada, is still the best (perhaps only) viable option for Canadians who value the foundational values and principles that created the Confederation of Canada? Those same values and principles that have sustained Canada, its progress and its future through generations and decades?

Simply because far too many of those foundational values and principles are under attack.

Under attack by globalists from virtually all of the traditional parties, the Liberals and Conservatives (who have almost morphed into an indistinguishable amalgam), the NDP who are ‘off the charts’ socialists and the Greens who are ‘climate zealot’ pretenders trying to fool Canadians into believing that they (the Greens) are anything other than a single agenda political entity, a ‘one trick pony’.

Against all of them, individually and combined, we have Maxime Bernier and the People’s Party of Canada – warts and all.

Is the current iteration of the People’s Party of Canada the perfect ‘remedy for what ails Canada’?

No. But it is probably as close as it is going to get going into this October 21, 2019 election.

Why?

In spite of the unassailable fact the the People’s Party of Canada is currently an autocracy, the brainchild and construct of Maxime Bernier and his inner circle, this autocracy, on balance, succeeds where the other contesting federal parties fail.

The PPC, under Maxime Bernier, is committed to sovereignty.

The PPC, under Maxime Bernier, is committed to economic growth through laissez faire, ‘hands off’ policies, including eliminating corporate welfare.

The PPC, under Maxime Bernier, is determined to wrest power from globalists, specifically the unelected United Nations, and return decision-making to elected Members of Parliament.

The PPC, under Maxime Bernier, is committed to Free Speech and Freedom of Assembly.

The PPC, under Maxime Bernier, recognizes that Canada will succeed through Unity more so than ‘diversity’ (which is often nothing more than a virtue signalling invitation to create tribalism within Canada).

The PPC, under Maxime Bernier, will commit to ensuring the best interests of Canadians are considered first and foremost – ahead of the interests of citizens of other countries that must elect their own governments to ensure the preservation of their own interests.

Do I believe that the People’s Party of Canada must, in due course, move from an autocracy into a representative, or direct, democracy? Yes, but with a strong caveat.

Under no circumstances can the leadership of the People’s Party of Canada fall into the same trap that has hopelessly compromised the traditional political parties, in Canada, as well as elsewhere.

The founding principles and values of the People’s Party of Canada MUST be enshrined – and protected, constitutionally. (This is the only document, the United State Constitution, that has saved the USA countless times from descending into the corrupt malaise of most other nations).

From now until the results of the October 2019 election, I am turning my efforts away from assisting in the organization and growth of the People’s Party of Canada. I have accomplished all that I was able within the current iteration of the PPC. I will not return unless, and until, some problematic deficiencies are remedied.

I will now be concentrating on exposing the ‘dog’s breakfast of political inconsistencies and outright obscenities’ that dominate the current Canadian election landscape.

This website, and the whimsical ‘dogzbreakfast.com’ will be populated to expose and highlight matters of import to all Canadians as we move into this vitally important political decision on October 21, 2019.

The Liberals are corrupt – and cannot be trusted to govern Canada. They are, in fact, led by a spoiled, ignorant manchild in Justin Trudeau who wants to be the ‘first post-national Prime Minister in Canadian history’.

The Conservatives are led by a weak, malleable Andrew Scheer whose nickname ‘Pandering Andy’ is well-deserved as he has moved the Conservatives far left of their traditional base. Globalism is still an accepted outcome for Scheer and the current iteration of the Conservative Party.

The NDP, socialist at inception and even more so under the misguidance of Jagmeet Singh, is a dysfunctional internal train-wreck that can never be foisted on unsuspecting Canadians.

The Greens are led (?) by Elizabeth May, an absolute zealot with a messiah-complex, who would bludgeon and bulldoze Canada into economic and social ruin in her pursuit of her fairy tale green fantasy. May has announced that the very future of the world is at stake if she, and her minions, are not elected. We have run out of time, according to May. Such fear-mongerers can never been given the reins of power.

Finally, we arrive at Maxime Bernier, a singular force in Canadian politics, who had the courage (and the audacity) to leave a political party where he carried all but one percent of the necessary votes to lead the CPC, who announced a new political force (the PPC) and who autocratically carved out policies, principles and a platform that he believes is in the best interests of Canadians – and our individual and collective future.

Why do I support Maxime Bernier?

Because I trust him to maintain his principles, his vision and his resolve.

Has Maxime Bernier created the ‘perfect’ political party to contest this election?

Of course not. He had, does not have, nor will he have, the necessary resources, both human and monetary. He does not, and will not, have the time to muster those resources fully in time for the imminent election.

What he does have is my trust.

I trust him to ‘fix what’s broke’, both within his own formative party, and also to ‘fix what’s broke’ in Canada, as a result of too many bad decisions and outside influences that have eroded Canadian sovereignty and well-being.

Every time Canadians step up and place their constitutionally enshrined vote in a ballot box, we are demonstrating faith in the democratic process – and trust in the individual whose name is on that ballot.

In a perfect world I would not choose to support an autocrat, unless I have the faith and belief that such an individual truly has my best interests at heart – and is committed to protecting them.

Maxime Bernier will NOT be an autocrat after this election as the PPC presumably moves toward the democratic processes that will be necessary to protect the interests and the political will of the 45,000 and growing Canadians who helped create the fastest growing federal political party in Canadian history.

Hopefully, Maxime Bernier will be a democratic ‘force of nature’ that is the harbinger of the great flood of principled politicians with personal integrity that will rebuild Canada after this necessary, vital election to allow ‘the heavens to break open and all politically corrupted globalist-based life in Canada will (metaphorically) perish …

Over the next few posts, we will examine what is right (and very much what is WRONG) with the federal political parties vying for your all-important vote.

Who Controls ‘Democracy’?

Democracy, the concept. A government of the people, by the people, for the people. (Borrowed from one of our southern neighbour’s greatest visionaries).

Democracy, the Canadian reality. A government of the privileged few, by the privileged few and for the privileged few.

You doubt the veracity of that statement? Really?

Under what rock have you been hiding?

Look at obvious, inarguable facts.

Canadian Federal Election Cycle (If you’re easily bored or short on time, skip ahead to the heading ‘No. Here are the some of the reasons why.’)

When are federal elections held in Canada?

Since May 2007, the Canada Elections Act provides for a general election to be held on a fixed date: the third Monday of October in the fourth calendar year following the previous general election. As the last election took place on October 19, 2015, the next fixed election date is October 21, 2019.

That said, the Canada Elections Act does not prevent a general election from being called at another date.

General elections are called when, on the advice of the Prime Minister, the Governor General dissolves Parliament. The Governor in Council (the Governor General, acting on the advice of Cabinet) sets the date of the election.

The Canada Elections Act (section 57) specifies that the election period must last a minimum of 36 days and a maximum of 50 days.

Canadians are currently expecting the next federal election on October 21, 2019 unless the sitting government chooses to change that nebulous date.

How do Canadians participate in the upcoming federal election?

Generally, by following the rules and regulations of Elections Canada as prescribed on the elections.ca website and according to state.

To summarize, eligible candidates who wish to contest for a seat as a Member of Parliament enlist the support of 100 voters in a federal riding and submit their application to Elections Canada for review and ratification.

Most candidates choose to align themselves with a federal party to take advantage of the benefits of ‘showing their colours’ and supporting values, principles and policies common to the leadership and membership of that particular federal party. Those federal parties each have their own rules of eligibility to participate in the upcoming federal election, subject to compliance with the additional regulations imposed upon registered political parties by Elections Canada.

Some of those regulations are sound, reasonable and practical.

Limits are placed on the amounts of money any individual can ‘invest’ in his/her preferred political party and candidate. That way, the richest Canadians have little more power, on paper, than the poorest of us.

Campaigns are regulated and financial statements are issued after the election to ensure that the candidates, their campaigns and their parties remained in compliance .

Seems reasonable and straightforward, right?

No. Here are some of the reasons why.

A new federal political party, such as the People’s Party of Canada is hindered in its ability to compete ‘on a level playing field’ for a variety of arcane, deliberately partisan reasons, created absolutely, unequivocally for the purpose of discouraging new players from entering the political contest for the votes of Canadians.

  1. A newly formed political party not only needs to register with Elections Canada but must also run a candidate in at least one (1) riding usually in a by-election in order to make officially registered. This, of course, takes resources and organization on a ‘trust’ basis as members must trust that the political party has the wherewithal and conviction to be a legitimate contender. In itself, not a bad thing, since it would be a cluttered mess for voters to face an endless list of ‘political wannabes’ who are intent mostly on enhancing their status or potentially sabotaging the process.
  2. A newly formed political party must comply to recently revised federal regulations (October, 2018) Bill C-76 which overall protects the status quo concerning existing parties and inhibits new political contenders through limitations on third party advertising, including on social/digital media, that would improve the distribution of a new party’s message. The overall effect of C-76 on the upcoming federal election is still untested.
  3. Now it gets Draconian-and partisan. Unethically biased and unfair. In the same October, 2018 time frame, a new ‘Debate Commission’ is established to regulate National Debates leading up to the 2019 election and thereafter.

As with most unilateral, partisan driven initiatives, the Debate Commission concept and execution is fatally flawed. To quote CPAC:

‘The Leader’s Debate Commission would also determine which leaders would have a podium on the stage next year.Parties would need to meet two of the following three criteria:

  1. An elected MP at the time the election is called. Since Max Bernier sits as an independent at the moment, technically the People’s Party of Canada does not have a sitting MP, in the strictest definition of the term.
  2. Intention to run candidates in at least 90 per cent (304) of Canada’s 338 electoral districts. People’s Party of Canada has more than 320 confirmed candidates and meets this criteria.
  3. four per cent popular support in the previous election or a “legitimate chance to win seats in the upcoming election”. This subjective additional clause creates a political, rather than a rational, absolute criteria-and is fundamentally flawed.

But how to determine which party has a “legitimate chance’ at electing MP’s? Would Max Bernier’s new People’s Party of Canada be included?

Johnston (David Johnston, appointed Debate Commissioner) told CPAC’s Peter Van Dusen that “it has an element of subjectivity” – but that he was “quite comfortable” with the criteria, polling results, party history, and campaign efforts would be the most likely measuring sticks.

Even the existing political parties railed against the method in which the Debate Commission was created and the legitimacy of its mandate.

Nathan Cullen, NDP critic for democratic reform, “This was meant to be straightforward. I’m confused why the Liberals again chose to make unilateral decisions over how our democracy functions”.

Stephanie Kusie. Conservative critic for democratic institutions, “This is silencing Canadians. This is saying to Canadians, “You do not have the right to decide the format you want, to hear from the potential leader of our nation”.

Finally, Maxime Bernier, leader of the People’s Party of Canada, “It won’t be a real debate if I’m not there”.

“It will be a phony discussion where they attack each other on their superficial differences”.

Pollsters. Main Stream Media.

How else is the system rigged to prevent an electable, therefore frightening newcomer, from participating in national debates and reaching out directly to Canadians nation wide?

Pollsters first.

Notwithstanding candidates virtually across Canada, almost 320 strong to date, pollsters are not even including the People’s Party of Canada as an electable choice on their questionnaires. Instead, the PPC is grouped with ‘other’. Does this deliberate (or unjustifiably ignorant) omission have an impact on the ability of Max Bernier to participate in a national debate as leader of the PPC?

Let’s go back to David Johnston. “He was “quite comfortable” with the criteria, polling results, party history, and campaign efforts would be the most likely measuring sticks“.

Polling results. Read the words. If the criteria includes polling results and pollsters are not polling and aggregating PPC supporters, how can anyone accurately, legitimately or ethically declare a polling number for the PPC?

We know the pollsters have been compromised, either through deliberate misrepresentation or through implausible ignorance when we hear the respected Angus Reid admit the following just a short couple of weeks ago on Twitter: “People’s Party – we are not including in our main vote question because we don’t know how many candidates they will be fielding in the OCT election. Once we know, where they have candidates, we will include for those ridings. Now we break them out in ‘other’ with a follow up question”.

And another nugget from Angus: “As such, we have data for the PPC. Again, they are in the survey. We folded them into Other because they do not generate more than 4 per cent in any region in the country”.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is one of the most respected pollsters in the country but he can’t see past his nose on this one.

Of course the PPC is not going to poll significantly if you do not prompt people to consider the choice EXACTLY the same way you prompt people to choose one of the existing political parties. Common sense is apparently not that common.

Ask a child this question which essentially duplicates the intellectual vacuum of Angus Reid’s argument.

“Would you rather have a cookie, a piece of cake, ice cream, or ‘other’?”

I’d be willing to bet a lot of money I don’t have that very few children would choose ‘other‘. I can almost guarantee less than 4%.

To Angus Reid’s credit, he did issue this Twitter update: “People’s Party-Thanks for the feedback, folks. We will now be including them on our vote question. I had not realized that they were fielding candidates everywhere. My miss. But they will be on the list going forward. We did explicitly examine favourability of Max. It’s in our release”.

So now, months late, perhaps too late, one (1) of the myriad of polling companies will start asking voters whether they are supporting the PPC.

To reiterate, David Johnston is quoted as saying he will be relying partly on polling numbers – and yet the People’s Party of Canada is not even showing up as a political alternative in the polls.

A deliberate exclusion or a baffling oversight given the preponderance of of PPC candidates Canada wide?

That, of course, leads me to my last observation.

Main Stream Media

Bought and paid for to the tune of $595 Million taxpayer dollars.

There is no question that the MSM is partisan, left-leaning and becoming a willing sycophant of an unethical Liberal government who chose to create their own political propaganda machine by using MSM outlets that are fast losing their hold on their readers, viewers and listeners and thus suffering financially as a consequence.

Another contrived ‘commission’ was established to divvy up our $595 Million in taxpayer bribes to the MSM. How many benefactors will be willing to bite the hand that feeds them?

Additionally, the Main Stream Media steadfastly refuses to report on the People’s Party of Canada, its progress, its candidates and its vision for Canada.

Their logic? Possibly circular reasoning, following the tradition of an ostrich with its head in the sand.

If the pollsters aren’t talking about the PPC, why should we? Of course, the obvious media bias is a greater contributing factor but the pollsters have given many obtuse MSM outlets an excuse, albeit a thin one.

So, the answer to the question that prefaces this article.

Who controls Democracy?

IF we allow them, the answer is indeed the privileged few.

Those who create commissions that are neither ethical, fair nor politically just.

Those who are paid to poll and survey voters but ‘conveniently’ leave out the fastest growing political party in Canadian federal history, the People’s Party of Canada.

Those MSM outlets who accept multi-millions of dollars of taxpayer money to shore up their failing business models, thereby becoming compliant, sycophantic stooges of the corrupt Liberal government.

Weak politicians in established political parties who fall all over themselves to ‘look just like the other’ in order to pander for a few extra votes.

But, in reality, those who control Democracy look suspiciously like the visage you see when you stare into a mirror

Yes, you, the Canadian voter.

Perhaps you may have to work a little bit harder to find out what your options truly are this October as you head into a polling station.

Perhaps you have to do some homework and expend a little time and effort to attend some riding debates featuring all of the candidates who are striving to represent you.

Perhaps you should be emailing or phoning David Johnston, Debate Commissioner, to demand that Maxime Bernier be added to the Leaders Debate in both French and English – so you can hear with your own unfiltered ears what Maxime Bernier stands for, and how he stands up for Canadian sovereignty and our established values in a way diametrically different from his TweedleDee and TweedleDum opponents.

I will close by repeating a Tweet that perhaps sums up our plight best of all.

To paraphrase:

“In 2015 Canadians took part in a Canada wide IQ test. We failed”.

Let us NOT fail again in 2019.

Do NOT Reward Incompetence

Incompetence is the inability to perform; lack of competence; ineptitude.

Aspects of incompetence include:

The above is a portion of a ‘textbook’ definition from Wikipedia, NOT a criticism of someone’s character – or even their intent, individually or collectively. Please keep that important distinction in mind as you read the entirety of this article.

Decisions must be made. Continuously. By all of us. Some are relatively easy and don’t take much thought. Choosing high probability outcomes over low probability outcomes. Advancing on a green light – not a red light. Wearing shoes while walking on broken glass.

Other decisions are not quite so easy – but all have consequences, and outcomes.

The current Liberal government under out self-proclaimed first ‘post-national’ Prime Minister is making a number of decisions ruinous to the social fabric of Canada, the economic well-being of Canada, adherence to the ‘Rule of Law’ in Canada and Trudeau has even blatantly ignored his oath of office by abrogating his responsibilities to Canadians by acquiescing to ‘Compacts’ and ‘Accords’ that allow unelected foreign individuals and entities, specifically the morally corrupt United Nations, to dictate Canadian policies and financial obligations.

The Liberals under Trudeau have made their decisions – on the SNC Lavalin corruption scandal, on the Paris Accord, on the Global Compact on Migration, on Supply Management.

The decisions have been made – and the consequences are becoming increasingly apparent as our economy grinds to a halt, bordering on recession. Liberal caucus members are being booted out for standing up for their principles and the Rule of Law. Canadians are already starting to feel the choking constriction on discretionary spending as a result of the Carbon Tax.

Canadians are fighting back against Immigration Policies being dictated by the United Nations, instead of being judiciously administered by our own ‘once sovereign’ government. Canadians continue to pay multi-millions of dollars to subsidize a few privileged agricultural sectors to the detriment of other agricultural sectors as well as the hapless consumer.

Even the compliant Main Stream Media in Canada has been ‘bought and paid for’ with the recent $595 Million bribe, courtesy of the Canadian taxpayers, ensuring the continuing irrational and highly favorably biased press coverage that the Liberals enjoy from a complicit media.

While there be consequences? Only the voter can decide in October (or sooner) as we get our all too infrequent opportunity to remove an ‘incompetent’ government from office.

Removing the Liberals from wielding otherwise unaccountable political power is the ‘power’ that the voter holds constitutionally – and must exercise with the best interests of the country and Canadians in mind.

Canadians will make a decision in 2019 – and not everyone will be happy with the outcome.

Even within new political movements and federal political parties, the matter of dealing with incompetence must be addressed – and dealt with in the best interests of the membership – and the principles of the party.

Recently, the People’s Party of Canada has been assaulted on social media and even in pockets of Main Stream Media by articles and comments suggesting that there is something amiss within the ranks of the PPC – and its leadership.

I am asserting, emphatically, that there is nothing newsworthy amiss within the ranks of the PPC nor in its leadership.

Instead, there was a necessary, and principled, decision to deal with our own identified internal incompetence displayed by certain individuals who, while perhaps well-intentioned, were not contributing positively in accordance with the high standards set by the People’s Party of Canada in the discharging of their responsibilities. In short, whatever the intent, the ultimate result was incompetent. Demonstrably and empirically, irrefutably incompetent.

Incompetence, at any level, and for any reason, cannot and should not be rewarded.

The People’s Party of Canada made a decision, a necessary decision, a principled decision, in February, 2019 – and not everyone will be happy with the outcome.

If the People’s Party of Canada wants to demonstrate to Canadian voters that it has the courage of its convictions and an unwavering belief in its principles, it cannot, and should not, tolerate incompetence within its own development process any more than the Canadian voter should support incompetence when assessing political alternatives heading into this critical 2019 federal election.

National Sovereignty -Canada’s No. 1 Issue?

This is a guest article contribution provided to rightdecision.ca. The commentary and the opinions offered are solely those of the author (canucklaw.ca).

National Sovereignty is “The” Most Pressing Issue For Canadians

by Alex

The landscape has been changing even more in recent years. Who governs your country, and what agenda they have matters. But that divide is not what we have been led to believe.

It is not Left v.s. Right. Rather,It is Globalist v.s. Nationalist

A Nationalist believes that their country should remain sovereign, and that the citizens should be responsible for determining its destiny. There will be differences of opinions, yes, but the belief is still that citizens should be in charge of their future. The culture, language, heritage and traditions should remain intact. Control should lie with elected representatives of a Federal Parliament/Congress.

A Globalist believes that national sovereignty should be eroded or stopped altogether in the name of “the greater good”. This ideology rejects any sort of distinctive national identity, and promotes world government/1-world vision ideals. The needs and interests of host nations are obstacles to be overcome, and a global body should determine what is best for everyone.
If you think your Federal representatives don’t look after your interests, do you think Global reps would do any better?

There is not a single administration in Canada that is responsible for this. Successive governments have implemented UN and Globalists ideas for over 50 years now. It is death by a thousand cuts.

Across the Western World, so called “Conservative” parties implement much the same policies as Liberals. They just aren’t as gung ho when selling them to the people.

To name a few:

UN Global Migration Compact-UN Agenda 21/2030

UN Digitial Cooperation (Internet Regulation)

UN Religious Defamation (Blasphemy Ban)

UN Paris Accord (Carbon Taxes)

UN Global Citizenship Initiative

UN Gender Agenda

Much of the work on my site, Canuck Law, has been to draw attention to what is happening. Globalist forces are piece by piece taking away our freedoms and autonomy.

In addition to writing about this topic, I took action in a different way: going to court (3 times now).

Challenge to the UN Global Migration Compact:

As was reported, I went to Calgary on December 6, 2018 in an attempt to file a legal challenge to it being implemented.

The short version of events is this, after some back and forth, the Federal Court Judge threw out the case (and awarded $500 in court costs). Although numerous grounds were cited in the reasons, one important thing stands out.

THE FEDERAL COURT RULED THAT THE United Nations Global Migration Compact WAS NEVER INTENDED TO BE A BINDING LEGAL CONTRACT.

Many of us were worried that signing this agreement would become a sort of “soft law”, which legally binding future decisions could then be based off of. In a sense, leaving the Compact unchallenged would the worst . But now that a Court has ruled it’s not binding, that “should” put a stop to it.

There are 2 other matters pending:

1/ Attempting to close the loophole in the Canada/US Safe 3rd Country Agreement. Canada and the US recognize each other as safe countries. Therefore, people attempting asylum claims should not be able to “shop” around, but claim asylum in the first country they reach. However, due to poor wording, it seems to not apply if they cross anywhere other than an official port.

2/ Although still in the proposal stages, hundreds of high ranking officials within UN supporting countries are floating the ideal of a UN Parliamentary Assembly, or Global Government. Obviously, Canada will have no control over its own interests if we joined such a group. Canada would be just 1 of 193 nations (and hold 0.5% of voting rights).

It will be interesting to see how those turn out.
Regardless, Canadians do need to wake up to what is happening around them. We don’t have a country, if we cannot control our borders, immigration, laws, or domestic policies.

I openly advocate leaving the UN (see https://canucklaw.ca/canada-should-leave-the-un-the-masterlist/). As more and more Canadians become aware, this opinion will certainly grow.

Only One Goal for PPC in 2019

Creating 338 Electoral Districts in less than 3 months was a monumental achievement for the People’s Party of Canada in late 2018 – but it means absolutely nothing if the real goal is not reached in 2019.

There is only one goal – and that is to source, nominate, campaign and ultimately elect sufficient People’s Party of Canada Members of Parliament in October 2019 to change the course of Canadian federal politics – and possibly the course of history.  The battle is being fought worldwide between sovereignists and globalists for the fate of nation states.

In countries with strong nationalist values such as the USA and Australia (among others) the Populist movements have begun to restore the commitment to sovereignist emphasis on the ‘State ensuring and enshrining the best interests of its citizens’.  In other socialist trending countries, including Germany, Sweden and unfortunately Canada under the misplaced, destructive globalist dogma of  Trudeau’s Liberals, abrogation of duties to citizens in favour of globalist ideologies has prevailed in recent years.

Surprisingly, or perhaps not surprisingly, the French citizenry has started to strongly push back with the emergence of the Yellow Vest movement that is being emulated elsewhere, including in Canada.  (It is worthwhile to know that the values espoused by the Canadian Yellow Vest movement closely resemble the stated values of the People’s Party of Canada, even though the Yellow Vest movement is overtly apolitical).

It is almost astounding how quiet the complicit Main Stream Media has been on the numerous issues that are facing Canadians as a result of the globalist, unsustainable, economy crushing policies of the current Liberal majority government in the House of Commons.

It is simply incomprehensible that Canadians could potentially face another term of office for this morally corrupt group of socialist sycophants who have neither the ability, nor the resolve, to address current Canadian issues with any sense of patriotism, accountability or wisdom.

The model being utilized, all too successfully, by Trudeau and the Liberals is based on divisive identity politics that panders to any number of special interest groups with the expectation that those special interest groups will form a common voting bloc favouring the Liberals in 2019.

The majority of the Main Stream Media cannot be considered anything other than complicit allies of the Liberals going into 2019.  The recent $600 Million financial ‘bail out’ package announced by the Liberals to prop up failing once popular news media sources and outlets virtually ensures that these already left-leaning organizations will continue their established policy of ignoring all Trudeau/Liberal Party transgressions and shortcomings instead focusing their collective attention on issues south of the border.

This dereliction of responsibility and accountability to Canadians by too much of the failing Main Stream Media is only one hurdle that the People’s Party of Canada must overcome in 2019.

The prospect of ‘vote splitting’ will resonate loudly in conservative and populist circles.  Unquestionably, the more political parties that exist on any part of the political spectrum will inevitably split votes as the electorate has more choice.

Stay focused on the reality that only certain political parties have the policies and platform to countermand the disastrous consequences that have already emerged from the incompetent legislative disasters already passed by Trudeau’s Liberals.   Also stay focused on the disappointing similarities between Trudeau’s Liberal and Scheer’s Conservative Party of Canada.  It is increasingly apparent that Scheer’s misguided attempt to become a ‘Centrist’ leader of a ‘Centrist’ CPC will not get the job done.

There is a strong likelihood that Scheer’s CPC will steal votes from the Liberals every bit as much as the People’s Party will most certainly draw votes away from the genuine ‘conservative’ segment of the CPC that still remains.  If the CPC and the Liberals both profess to be ‘Centrist’ parties committing to the same unsupportable UN agenda driven globalist policies, astute Canadians will soon recognize that the People’s Party of Canada is the only legitimate alternative to restoring Canada to a path of Canadian values and a ‘Strong and Free’ Canadian future.

A minority government with a PPC/CPC coalition is an outcome in October, 2019 that might actually benefit Canada the most.  It would force the CPC under Scheer to return to some of the genuine conservative values on which the CPC was based, now abandoned in pursuit of ‘power at any price’.

Rather than dealing with any more of the ‘hot button’ issues that are becoming more clear to the average voter, I choose to conclude this article with the serious challenge resultant from Bill C-76.  This questionable legislation was passed by a compliant NOT independent Senate in time to allow this Bill to become enforceable in time for the 2019 election.

While Bill C-76 sounds altruistic at first blush, a closer examination reveals that its real power is to limit the ability of a new political force to maximize its message while existing parties will benefit from their ‘already established’ presence in the minds of voters.

To quote the Canadian Civil Liberties Association presentation to the Parliamentary Committee:

“With respect to political advertising, the CCLA notes that the restrictions place significant limits on political expression, which lies at the core of the freedom of expression that is protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. While we appreciate and take seriously the concern that wealth should not be translated into the ability to dominate political discourse, we have not seen the evidence that purports to justify the restrictions contained in the Bill and the distinctions it makes between different types of political expression and different political actors. Restrictions on core political speech should not be imposed absent evidence that the restrictions are necessary and proportionate. This evidence has not been produced in relation to the existing third party advertising regime in the Canada Elections Act, nor with respect to the changes proposed by Bill C-76. Further, we suggest that the Committee consider whether limits on spending should be set by an independent body, rather than established in legislation (and subject to an inflation adjustment factor).”

The purpose of this legislation may mitigate the ability of concerned Canadians to mount an all-out assault against the sitting Liberal government under Trudeau.  It therefore becomes even more vital that Canadian voters intent on unseating the Liberals band together to get the message of the People’s Party of Canada out to friends, neighbours and acquaintances.

Canada cannot economically or societally sustain another Trudeau Liberal majority.  Neither can Canada allow a federal government to continue to abrogate its sworn pledge to Canadians to govern in the best interests of Canadians. We cannot allow our Canadian government to transfer that responsibility to a corrupt, agenda-driven United Nations group of unelected bureaucrats whose vision is not congruent with Canadian values, Canadian law and our shared Canadian future.

The People’s Party of Canada has a great message for Canadians – and a great messenger in Maxime Bernier.  The only goal that matters in 2019 is to ensure that both the message and the messenger are front and center in the discussions of responsible, accountable Canadians throughout 2019 and leading up to the October, 2019 federal election.

The 2019 Canadian federal election may well be a turning p0int in Canadian history.  The consequences of allowing the globalist aspirations of an incompetent Prime Minister (already touting himself as wanting to be the ‘first post-national Prime Minister’ in Canadian history) to continue his destructive dark, not sunny, ways are almost too alarming to imagine – or permit.

The Power of One. Conviction. Courage.

The world is full of doubters.  The world is rife with naysayers.  Canadians have become jaded, disenchanted and disgusted with the political climate – and our political system.

For almost as long as I can remember, I have been repeatedly asked ‘What do you want me to do about it?  Do you really think that one person can actually make a difference?

Today, I am happy to advise that the answer to the above question is ‘YES’.

Unequivocally.  Without qualification.  Without compromise.

Today, a passionate and remarkable courageous Canadian patriot has challenged the Canadian parliamentary system – in the process challenging the right of the Liberal majority government in the House of Commons to lead Canada into a globalist, agenda driven United Nations Compact on Global Migration.

While most Canadians have had enough trouble wrapping their heads around the inevitable consequences that will certainly arise should Canada foolishly allow an ideology driven, ‘post national’ incompetent Prime Minister to continue to abrogate his responsibilities (and his oath of office) by allowing a globalist agenda to start dictating Canadian immigration policy, a select few individuals have begun to speak out.

We admire those who have seen the danger from the outset.  Maxime Bernier, leader of the People’s Party of Canada, was the first elected Member of Parliament to speak out against the Compact – and rightly so.  In the process, Mad Max has forced the weak leadership of Andrew Scheer and his special interest caucus into finally taking a ‘political stand’ against the Compact on Migration.

But, is a ‘political stunt’ by Opposition Members of Parliament sitting in the minority in the House of Commons really going to have any impact on the ultimate decision of Justin Trudeau to enter into this ill-advised deception, the consequences of which will be felt by all Canadians for generations to come?  An Opposition motion was already defeated in the House.

Maxime Bernier remains the only Canadian Member of Parliament who had the integrity, the personal commitment and the courage to initiate this debate in Parliament.  The pretense of Scheer, coupled with the obvious documented prevarications of Michelle Rempel who has spoken out of both sides of her mouth on the issue as the ‘Shadow’ to the Minister of Immigration, is just another clear indication that the Conservative Party of Canada is a political entity that truly has no underlying principles or integrity – relying instead on the results of polls and focus groups to belatedly help them guide their self-proclaimed ‘Centrist’ aspirations.

But this article is not about Maxime Bernier.   Nor is it about the People’s Party of Canada, Canada’s newest political party that is going to champion the rights and sovereignty of Canadians going into the 2019 election.

Instead, this article truly is about The Power of One.

While too many Canadians have adopted a defeatist attitude concerning our rights and remedies, cynical that their individual efforts will have any discernible impact, there are a few, far too few, who have the courage and the commitment to tilt bravely at the ponderous Windmills of Government, Quixote-like, using tools and enfranchised, constitutionally enshrined abilities that are available to us all.

We commend those who have signed Petitions denouncing the Global Compact on Migration (myself included).

We support those who will be giving their time to attend rallies this weekend throughout Canada, protesting the inadvisability of the Liberal Government signing an agreement that will significantly weaken Canada’s sovereignty and status as a democratic nation among nations.

As compelling as these initiatives are, or may become, they pale into almost insignificance when compared to the dedication and effort of a single Canadian Patriot who has taken it upon herself, in spite of the naysayers and doubters, to challenge the signing of this Draconian document in the only meaningful way recognized in law.

Today, a young woman boarded a flight from the interior of BC, and without virtually any outside assistance, filed a Statement of Claim in Canada’s Federal Court in Calgary, Alberta, arguing against the constitutionality and the legality of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau signing this UN Sponsored Global Compact on Migration.

I have been fortunate enough to have been kept ‘in the loop’ as this courageous and committed young woman reached out to discuss the merits of her actions, then I shared some of her frustrations as many influential individuals well-known in media terms either ‘shied away’ from any involvement or participation, or chose to just ignore the emails and overtures that we sent.

Undeterred, Alex has persevered – and she is to be commended for it.  I can attest that she has spend dozens of hours doing her homework, researching the law, examining the constitution and reaching a conclusion that must be tested in the highest courts in the land.

Alex has, this day, Thursday, December 6, 2018 filed a Statement of Claim arguing that inalienable rights of Canadians will be affected by the decision of the Liberal Party of Canada to enter into an agreement that evidence shows that those self-same Liberals may have conspired to create – without prior consultation with the Canadian people.

Alex has advised that she is also preparing the necessary Temporary Injunction to be filed with the Federal Court and with all Provincial Attorneys General as the impact of the Global Compact on Migration affects not only the constitutional right and authorities of the Federal Government but also the Provincial Governments own constitutional powers and responsibilities, under Constitutional definitions.

This action has been taken by Alex in advance of the actual signing of the Global Compact on Migration because she believes, rightly so, that the interests and rights of Canadians must be protected and enforced by the highest courts in Canada, the Supreme Court being the ultimate authority on constitutional issues.

It is Alex’s sincere belief, based on extensive research and evidentiary precedent, that Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party have no legal basis on which to enter into this Global Compact on Migration – and that Canadians deserve an opportunity to have our voice heard both in and out of Parliament BEFORE such an agreement could ever become legitimate and legal.

The Order of Canada is an oft misused recognition of Canadians that have shown exemplary service to Canada in the performance of their duties and through their actions.

I would be proud to see that honour conferred some day upon Alex as she is the first, and only, Canadian to date (of whom I am aware) who has shown the courage, the commitment to Canada and the Rule of Law, and also the responsibility to her fellow Canadians to challenge the LEGAL authority of Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party in their pursuit of yet another failed policy decision that will negatively impact the welfare and the well-being of Canadians, potentially for generations to come.

I urge you to get behind this young woman as she has planted a flag that millions of Canadians should rightfully rally to.

There are few issues facing Canada that may have similar deleterious, negative consequences relating to this abandonment of Canadian sovereignty.

More nations worldwide every week are declaring that they will NOT sign this ideological Globalist agreement.  Many of our closest allies and neighbours have already spoken out against the ratification of this Compact.  I leave it up to you to do your own research and come to your own conclusions.  Inevitably, you cannot trust the Main Stream Media to give you a balanced, fair assessment.

Once you have established, in your own mind, that this is truly one of the ‘Hills to Die On’ as it truly is that consequential in the future well-being of Canada, then be prepared to stand behind this courageous, determined young woman as she faces the slings and arrows that she will inevitably draw.

Do not discount ‘The Power of One’.  Be prepared to provide your support, moral and financial, to ensure that ‘The Power of One’ carries the weight of millions of Canadians who need to voice our collective concerns in front of the highest courts in Canada.

Alex needs to know that she does not stand alone.

PPC Message? Wildfire.

The People’s Party of Canada, and the message of Maxime Bernier, is spreading like wildfire – the good kind.  Incredibly successful rallies have been held in the past week, Vancouver with more than 500 attendeesCalgary with more than 500 attendees and Etobicoke with more than 1,100 enthusiastic participants.

How are we doing locally?  Amazingly well!  Since Monday, November 12th, the People’s Party of Canada had interviews (with related articles) from both daily newpapers in Kelowna as well as Penticton, Global TV Okanagan broadcasted an interview with Daniel Joseph, newly elected President of the Kelowna-Lake Country EDA and CBC Radio Daylight South hosted by Chris Walker broadcasted a 10 minute live interview.

Growth of the People’s Party of Canada has been literally exponential.  In two short months, the PPC has more than 33,00 members.  EDA’s have been established in almost half of the 338 Electoral Districts throughout Canada.  All EDA’s will be in place by year’s end.  Elections Canada has granted the People’s Party of Canada ‘eligibility’ status as at November 14th, meaning that the People’s Party of Canada can now contest by-elections and become fully accredited and registered as a tax-deduction eligible federal Canadian political party as soon as the PPC runs its first candidate.

Locally, we are assisting in setting up the EDA’s in Central South BC.  By November 25th, all six Central South BC EDA’s will be created and managed by capable Boards of Directors.

With the federal election in Canada less than a year away, naysayers and doubters said that the People’s Party of Canada had no chance of mounting a legitimate campaign that will challenge the status quo.

Those naysayers and doubters will be proven wrong.

Orwell’s 1984. Here. Now.

Government agencies gaining access to all of your financial history -without your knowledge and consent.

Authorities prosecuting individuals who have rightly and justly chosen to defend their homes and families in life-threatening situations.

An elected government taking an increasing percentage of your hard earned income and giving those tax dollars to third world despots and globalists organizations actively working to undermine  Canadian legal, social, economic and cultural values – replacing Canadian sovereignty with socialist ideological globalism.

Divisive identity politics that promotes special interest group interests ahead of the welfare and well-being of all Canadians, with justice and law no longer applied equally, universally and in accordance with legislation by ‘social activist’ judges who no longer respect the power of the legislative branch of government.

The looming spectre of a sitting Canadian government abrogating its responsibility to Canadians and allowing the UN to create an immigration policy that will overwhelm the Canadian identity and create an unsustainable financial burden of untoward proportions.

An elected government picking economic ‘winners and losers’ based on ideology and globalist lobbying instead of protecting and preserving the right of Canadian investors and workers to generate income and economic well-being in a free market, laissez faire demonstrably successful economic model as evidenced south of the 49th parallel since the election of Trump.

We watch our elected government, openly and publicly, encourage known terrorists and agents of foreign powers committed to the destruction of Canada and our value systems to return to Canada, whether Canadian citizens or not, with impunity and with blatant disregard of existing Canadian laws and international law concerning insurgents and terrorists.

Have we lost our collective minds?  How did we get to this place?  And why are more Canadians not standing up for the Canadian values that made our country strong, free and a land of opportunity?  When did we become acquiescent sheep instead of entrepreneurial, hard-working individuals interested in preserving our integrity, our freedom, our responsibilities, and our future?

Two of the most compelling and disturbing books of my youth were written by Eric Arthur Blair (aka George Orwell) , a 20th century colourful literary eccentric who sported tribal Burmese tattoos, ‘went native’ even in his own country and was descended from ‘landed gentry’ who filled exotic colonial posts including a father who worked in the Opium department of the Indian Civil Service and a wife who worked in the Censorship Department of the British Government Ministry of Information .

In spite of this background, perhaps because of it, Orwell became one of the most visionary writers of the mid twentieth century, writing dystopian novels concerning totalitarianism, propaganda and state control over individuals.  ‘Animal Farm’ and ‘1984′ are as bleak, chilling and prophetic as is Aldous Huxley’s ‘Brave New World’.

As disturbing as those ‘science fiction’ genre novels seemed at the time, never did I actually believe that I would, in my lifetime, witness firsthand the current epic degeneration and corruption of foundational Western Civilization freedoms, values and principles.

Until the collapse of the Berlin Wall, totalitarian statehood seemed restricted to Third World nations, the former USSR, Communist China, North Korea and their ilk.

Now, however, due to an incessant creep of socialist, globalist doctrine infused into otherwise democratic countries, we are witnessing an attack on Western Civilization values that is a virtual assault on a significant egalitarian system that most of us have grown up to embrace and cherish.

We witnessed, from afar, the degeneration of European nation states as they abrogated their own sovereignty by creating ‘Post National’ and ‘Super National’ institutions such as the European Union, de-legitimizing their own laws, rights and responsibilities in the process.  We watched these European nations start to lose their own national identities and culture, as an uncontrolled spread of multi-culturalism and multi-nationalism, aided and abetted by virtually uncontrolled immigration policies, has diluted the social fabric of these countries, most notably Germany, Sweden, France, Belgium, Great Britain and Sweden, to the point where police tell law abiding citizens that they literally must stay out of ‘lawless zones’ into which the police forces will not venture even to protect citizens who pay dearly for that right.

We watch as a globalist financed and backed caravan of illegal aliens approach the US southern border to demand entry and rights accorded to US citizens without following due process.  We sit by, idly, as the Canadian government allows thousands of illegal aliens into our own country, housing these illegal aliens in expensive hotels without any established limit on how much of our taxpayer Canadian resources will be expended – and to what purpose.

We sit back, comfortably and idly, as Canadian main stream news organizations propagandize, idolize and deify Canadian political leaders who are actively, and with malice aforethought, destroying the very institutions, values and principles that made Canada one of the world’s pre-eminent countries that could once hold its head high in the international community of nations.

Take some time and think about what is really happening to you, your country Canada – and your future.

Think about the consequences of restricting free speech as mandated by M-103.

Consider the possible economic collapse of the Canadian economy as is likely because of Bill C-69 and punitive Carbon Tax legislation.

Ponder the invasion of your own personal, and financial, privacy as a result of the sitting government supporting Stats Canada gaining access to your personal financial information, current and historical, without your knowledge and consent.

Reflect on the unimaginable social cost of allowing a little known and understood clause in the Paris Accord to force Canada to enter into an immigration policy known as the UN Global Compact on Migration which virtually assures that the Canadian government, and Canadians, will lose jurisdiction over our own immigration policies and goals.

Invest some time and educate yourself to the social, cultural and economic catastrophic  maelstrom that Canada is fast approaching – unless concerned, knowledgeable and principled Canadians intervene and throw a corrupt, globalist, ideologically ‘bought and paid for’ Liberal government out of power in 2019.

Then, do yourself a further favour and read, or re-read, Orwell’s ‘1984’.  Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’.  Huxley’s ‘Brave New World’.

Ask yourself, objectively, how close we really are to those chilling alternatives becoming our new Canadian reality.

You, the Canadian voter and taxpayer, may well be the last line of defense.

Think about your future, the future of Canada and the future of generations of Canadians who will depend on the decisions we collectively make.  Now.  Today.  In 2019.  Then ask yourself how many more chances are we going to be given to preserve all that we have achieved and hold sacred – the very fabric of our Canadian identity.

The Need for Clarity, or Why Political Correctness Has Got To Go

Offend someone today.  It’s your God-given right.

For the past quarter century or so, a nasty, pernicious, absurdly illogical phenomenon has been steadily creeping further and further into public discourse, to the point where it not only infects Academia (where at least it did not harm any sentient creatures) and the general media, but even our entertainment — novels, movies, music, you name it, it’s there.  It has caused the creation of a new sub-species of human being, the Professional Offence – taker, whose self-appointed duty is to spew forth manufactured outrage and to hound people out of society for saying innocuous things.  I speak, of course, of the phenomenon known as Political Correctness, or P.C. for short.  That it virtually rules in all of these areas is bad enough.  But worse still — far worse — is that it has infected our political dialogue as well, to the point where a meaningful discussion of almost any topic or policy is almost impossible to have.

Suggest that we should be vetting potential immigrants more carefully, to ensure terrorists and habitual criminals are refused entry?  Oh, that makes you a racist.  Or that people who practice “alternative lifestyles” could maybe just, you know, practice them in private, so that no one would care, and stop expecting everyone to “celebrate” it?  Well, that just makes you  a homo/trans/something – phobe!  Point out that not all religions are necessarily harmless, and that some do indeed teach some things that are, um, quite different from most of the others?  Why, you bigot, you!

Joking aside, this is where we find ourselves today :  An environment in which we cannot even talk about these (and other, even more important) subjects, because someone out there will seize on a comment (usually one that expresses plain, boldfaced truth) and use it as a cudgel to beat the unfortunate speaker senseless.   How we got here is not important, nor is the fact that the vast majority of people find P.C. laughable, for the most part.  Because it still hinders our political process, and that is hindering true progress in Canada.

For to craft, and promote, good, well-conceived public policy, policy that benefits the average Canadian rather than a few noisy special interest groups, we need one thing above all :  CLARITY.  Clarity, to allow us to first identify problems as clearly as possible, without having them buried in faux-polite euphemisms ;  clarity, that we may then hold serious discussions, with all sides putting forth their proposals and ideas (for how else do we ever arrive at the truth about anything, other than by open and informed debate?) ;  and clarity of purpose and action, to allow duly elected governments to enact the policies that will solve or at least mitigate some of the problems facing Canadians today.

But clarity becomes virtually impossible where the smelly, ruthless basilisk of P.C. is present.  For its only purposes are to cloud the truth, to render all language obscure and meaningless, and to bully sensible people into silence so that the Offence-takers and self-styled “Progressives” can own the Public Square, and get their little agendas pushed through.  P.C. has come a long way, it’s true, and has become an unfortunate fact of life for many of us, in nearly all walks of life.  But WE CAN FIGHT BACK.  Indeed, we must fight back.  We must retake the Public Square, so that common sense and the wisdom of real-world experience can once again rule the day (and the night too).

We do not need to be rude to accomplish this, nor do we need to start tossing around old racial or ethnic or chauvinist epithets.  That might get a few laughs, but it would play into their hands.  So, what to do then?  Try this :  the next time some P.C. clone  “calls you out”  for speaking honestly about something, or pretends to take offence at some harmless joke or quip. . . politely ignore them.  Or laugh at their pre-programmed P.C. response (good-naturedly, of course).   Point out to them that the very term Politically Correct indicates that the holder of such a position is being factually incorrect, on purpose, which means he or she is basically a willful liar.   And they are lying to themselves most of all.

Let us laugh Political Correctness out of the Public Square, and eventually out of existence.  Then we can get on with making this country, and the world, a better, freer, happier place.  We can do it, friends!
